Not a grid of icons. A mixing desk.
Most sleep apps give you one volume slider per sound. Fader gives every channel a fader and a tone knob, so you can make rain darker or a fan brighter without an equalizer.
Six channels, six faders
Pick a sound for each channel and set its level on a real fader with a 10 / 6 / 3 / 0 scale. The VU meter shows what each one is doing.
A tone knob per channel
One tilt filter centred between 250 Hz and 1 kHz. Turn it left for a darker, softer sound; right for more air.
Colour noise generated live
White, pink, brown, green and grey noise are synthesised in real time, not looped. No seams, no repeats, ever.
Sleep timer with a soft fade
Set 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes or your own. The mix fades out at the end instead of cutting. Free, no limit.

Twenty of the thirty are free. A Pro sound can be opened for 24 hours by watching an ad, or all of them for good with Pro. Your own audio files can be loaded on a channel too.

Your tapes are yours. They never lock.
A mix is saved as a tape. Five are free, and every tape you save keeps working forever, even past the limit.
- Share as an image or a short code. A tape becomes a 1080×1080 card, or a code like HJ4K-9XQ2-MNT7 that any Fader can load.
- Export and import as JSON. All your tapes in one file you keep. Restoring never counts against the limit.
- Widget and shortcut. Play or pause the last tape from the home screen and see the timer.
- Nothing on a server. Tapes live on your phone and in your own Google backup. There is no account to lose.

Ads in the free version, plainly: one interstitial when you open the app, at most once every 4 hours, never in the first session, never while audio is playing, never on the alarm or the night clock. A rewarded ad is only ever offered for two things: a Pro sound for 24 hours, or importing one audio file.
FAQ
What does the tone knob do exactly?
It is a tilt filter: one control that lowers highs and lifts lows when turned left, and the reverse when turned right, pivoting between 250 Hz and 1 kHz. It is enough to make rain feel further away or a fan feel closer, without touching an equalizer.
Are the noises real recordings?
The five colour noises are generated in real time by the app, so they never loop. The other 25 sounds are recordings, normalised to the same level so the faders mean the same thing on every channel.
Does it keep playing with the screen off?
Yes. Playback runs as a media service with the usual notification controls, and the timer keeps counting. If your phone has aggressive battery settings, allow Fader to run in the background.
What happens to my tapes if I change phones?
They are included in your Android backup, and you can also export them as a JSON file from Settings and import it on the new phone. Pro is tied to your Google Play account and can be restored from Settings.
Which languages?
English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French and Japanese. The engraved labels on the desk (POWER, TIMER, TONE) stay in English in every language, like on a real console.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. Fader is Android only, for phones on Android 8 or newer.
